Transport Data on the Web

Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) integrates different transport services into a single mobility service. The goal is to provide a traveler with all the services needed for a door-to-door travel under a single payment whilst integrating disparate modes of mobility (public transport, car- or bike-sharing, taxi/car rental, or a combination thereof) under one travel experience. After years of conceptualization and strategizing, MaaS is becoming a reality.

Technology is playing a progressively important key role in enabling effective governance structures, processes, and frameworks. As society becomes increasingly dependent on complex systems ranging from simple ‘decision support systems’ to ‘systems of systems’ and ‘semi autonomous systems’, data and algorithmic governance are of utmost importance.

Open Access: SWJ Going for Gold

Since its launch in 2009 the Semantic Web journal (SWJ) has been a firm supporter of so called 'green' Open Access (OA). For SWJ that means that all journal issues are published in accepted manuscript format on the semantic-web-journal.net webpage and are available to anyone, for free. The official published version of the issues are available only to licensed users at the IOS Press website. Some articles are available also in the form of Open Access (OA) through IOS Press as authors could opt-in to publish with full OA.
